This is an artist’s concept of the new Miss Bardahl, a rear-engine, low-profile unlimited hydroplane designed and built for Bardahl by Ron Jones of Mountain View, California. This new hydro will be similar in color to the former Miss Bardahl, but will be lighter, slightly wider, longer, and more aero-dynamic. Ron Musson who will pilot the craft this coming season, claims it should have tremendous acceleration out of the turns. He says, “because of its longer after-plane, its wider beam, and full length “non –trip” sides it will turn much faster, and its aero-dynamic shape will give greater straightaway speeds.”
This new U-Hydro is the fourth for Bardahl since the Seattle-based company entered the sport in 1957. Miss Bardahls have won three National High Point Championships – 1958, 1963 and 1964.
