May 14-16, 2007 - Lower end assembly

Before starting assembly of the lower end, the crank and all 12 rods were magnafluxed to check for cracks. Also, the case was line bored as the center main and end bearings were out of round. Finally, all main bearings and fork rod bearings were recoated.

This is a -7 crank and case (with gallery fed oiling). The through bolts have been modified to be a tight fit to help hold the main caps down.

Fork & blade rods were hung on the crank, the crank dropped into the case, and finally te oil pan assembly was bolted on.
