June 3, 2007 - Trailer Fire

On June 3rd, the Dragon roared back to life, almost 42 years after its last run.

The engine was run multiple times, with adjustments made to the idle mixture on the carburetor, oil levels checked, and all various systems run through their paces.

The engine started right up and ran smoothly.

More trailer runs were accomplished on June 4, during which time Ryan started and operated the engine. Ryan is now the 3rd generation Smith (Burns, Dixon, Ryan) to not only start a Merlin, but to trailer fire this particular boat!
