Take-apart has been going on for a little less than a month. It was quickly determined that the bow and transom would have to be replaced as they are just too rotten to repair. The right side looks okay and may be salvageable. The left side may have to be replaced as it was on the downside on tilt and held all the water when the boat was outside. Needless to say, it is not in very good shape.

Some of the frames will be useable, some not. Some had been cut in half by previous owners to get out hardware, while others are just too rotten to be useable. This is the case with the sponson frames. They will be used as templates to create new frames much later on.

The engine stringers have problems where the aluminum corroded and damaged the wood. However, these will be salvageable and work has already begun to repair the damage.

The take-apart has just begun, and has a long way to go before reconstruction can begin.
