The boat is now starting to go back together, slowly. The bottom is off, so it is much easier to see what is going on.

At some point after the boat left Bardahl the interior of the boat was sprayed with a brown-epoxy paint to protect it. Last month's big project was stripping all of that brown paint off the frames, battens, etc. to restore the boat to its original wooden interior finish.

The new bow is almost complete, the frames are in and secured, along with the new transom. The new airtraps and left side are the other major project currently under.

We changed the way the frames are attached to the stringers, slightly, to make the boat much stronger. Instead of using a wooden block in the corner and bolting through that, we are using aluminum angle. This, in combination with the aluminum on the stringers will provide much more strength and longevity than the boat originally had.
