October 5, 2019: Mahogany & Merlot, Chelan, WA
The Miss Bardahl team was again pitted across the lake on the dirt fingers, with the Pay 'n Pak. Friday was an uneventful setup day. Roger & Anna Kruse were gracious in hosting the team dinner at their hotel room Friday night. The wind started off strong Saturday morning but died down by mid-day.
The first run was a warmup and course survey with Dixon driving & David as the rider. Next a ride was given to Samantha Barnett (on behalf of Jeff Campbell) and then Ryan drove with Dixon as rider for Ryan's annual check ride.
Following lunch and a running of the checklist on the trailer, which included adding a pint of B2 to thicken the oil, Ryan made two solo runs in the afternoon.
Although the water was rough, the boat ran well, nothing broke, and no one got hurt.
The pit area was broken down Saturday evening and the team returned to Seattle on Sunday.
Crew for this event: Dixon Smith, David Smith, Roger Kruse, Ryan Smith, Mike Pronovost, Steve Bergerson, Jon Osterberg, and with help from Jeff & Mike Campbell. Skip & Karin Schott came over for the day on Saturday.
