September 30, 2022: Mahogany & Merlot, Chelan, WA
For the 3-day M&M event, Miss Bardahl participated on Friday only to free up pit space for the balance of the event. Pit space was next to Campbell's resort, and once again Miss Bardahl operated off a separate dock. Weather was wonderful, in the 70's for temperature with light winds and sun all day. Five runs were completed, with four rides given.
After a delay for setting the course, Miss Bardahl was the first away from the dock. The first run was a warm-up, course survey and ride for Art Harding (long time friend of Miss Thriftway owner Steve Payne). The second ride was for Mike Joyce. Following, 25 gallons of fuel was added at the dock during a delay for course lunch. After, Dean Morrow (Judy's brother) went for a ride. Ryan drove with Dixon riding for several laps of driver training / practice, with Ryan running several hard laps. The final ride of the day was for Dan Pronovost (crew member Mike Pronovost's son), after which Miss Bardahl was returned to the trailer.
Water conditions were great, although a bit rough at time with upwards of 4 unlimiteds on the course. The boat ran well, nothing broke and no one got hurt.
Miss Bardahl left the pits on Friday evening, and the crew enjoyed as spectators on Saturday & Sunday morning. A total of 10 unlimiteds and numerous limiteds were in attendance.
Crew for this event: Dixon Smith, Ryan Smith, Mike Pronovost, Steve Bergerson, Mike Campbell, & Skip Schott.
