December 26, 2007 - Initial Disassembly
The engine was moved from Dixon's storage facility in Redmond, WA to the shop at his home. He & Ryan removed the blower and wheelcase innards, as well as drained the (very black) oil.
The engine has been raced hard since it's last overhaul. It probably ran last in the late 1980's in one of the last Merlin powered competition unlimiteds.
