

November 28, 2003 - Hull Structure: Bow
This is the final update before the deck is placed on the boat. Hence, this section features a detailed look at the hull as of November 28, 2003. Because of the level of detail, this update has been organized by general categories, and sub-divided by specific categories.
There were very few modifications made to the bow. All the wood in the bow is new, as the rot in the original had turned the bow into a sponge.
We have added some aluminum braces on one of the forward frames to provide structure for the turnover point. When we need to flip the boat to work on the bottom, a mount is bolted to the bottom of the boat in the front and a rollover bar is placed in the bracket. To prevent from damaging the bottom, extra structure was added tie the mount point into the frames and stringers.
