November 28, 2003 - Hull Structure: Frames
This is the final update before the deck is placed on the boat. Hence, this section features a detailed look at the hull as of November 28, 2003. Because of the level of detail, this update has been organized by general categories, and sub-divided by specific categories.
The majority of the frames in the boat are new. When the boat was on the east coast, a previous owner had cut all the main frames in half to get the running gear (including tanks) out of the boat. This compromised the structure of the frames, necessitating new.
However, we used the original frames as patterns such that the current frames are carbon copies of the original. Only slight modifications (such as aluminum angle) have been added for increased structural security.
