The Miss Bardahl has arrived at the paint shop! The boat was first hung right-side up and the yellow painted. The sides, transom, and non-trips all got the first coat of yellow.
The paint being used is a PPG product. The paint is a base-coat/clear-coat similar to what is common in the automotive industry. This means that the base coat, or color, is sprayed, and after it has been allowed to tack, a clear coat is then sprayed on top. This type of paint requires a clear coat. When the boat is completely finished, the whole thing will be cleared again.
