Over the New Year holiday Ryan machined a puller for the steering wheel mount. It has a piece that fits in the center and pushes on the shaft, while the three perimeter bolts are tightened down to lift the mount off the shaft.
The flash pans were final fitted and mounting has begun. Due to the properties of sheet stainless, drilling the mount holes has been done very carefully to prevent warping. Mount plates have been installed along the sides of the engine bay. The mounting brackets have been nut-platted, so it will be easy to remove the flash pans as necessary. The engine stringers are beveled to hold the lower edge of the pans in place. The rear portion of the flash pans is separate and bolted in place (as it is also an interface panel). These have been nut-platted as well for the main flash pans to bolt to.
